A Talk by Lucy Campbell and Peter Boyd-Piercy

About this Talk

In this session we will hear about the first Pan London women's rough sleeping census, covering

  • why the census was needed; how the census methodology was developed; and what a gender informed outreach approach looks like
  • The key findings of the census
  • what the census tells us about how we can work towards ending rough sleeping for women

We will then hear from Simon on the Street on their development of an outreach service for women tailored around specific needs of the individual, considering issues such as experience of domestic abuse or violence, mental health and substance abuse, and challenges to female dignity around managing periods, preserving gynaecological health.
