Penny Hobman has been Director for Homelessness and Rough Sleeping at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities since August 2020. Between May and July 2020 she was Director for the Covid 19 Rough Sleeping Taskforce led by Dame Louise Casey. Before that she was Director for Integration and Communities in MHCLG. Penny has worked in the Civil Service for 20 years, including roles in the Department for Education, Government Equalities Office, Department for International Development and Department for Culture, Media and Sport. Before joining the Civil Service, Penny worked in the charity sector.
