Maria is the Homeless Services Director for St Martins, having begun her career in 2001 as a volunteer with the street outreach team while completing a dissertation project as part of her BA Hons degree. During those 21yrs Maria has delivered a range of services for St Martins, developing new projects and services that offer solutions to end rough sleeping.
Passionate about ending rough sleeping, Maria is focused on a housing led/first response to ending homelessness, providing a home for life and separating it from support. Maria is working closely with strategic partners to ensure the safe, comprehensive and successful move in this direction, taking services away from the dominant reward model that exists within the network of supported housing providers.
